13) Retention period for personal data

The retention period of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of the processing and - where applicable - additionally by the respective legal retention period (e.g. retention periods under commercial and tax law).

When personal data is processed on the basis of explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) RGPD, such data is retained until the data subject revokes his or her consent.

If there are legal retention periods for data that is processed as part of legal or quasi-legal obligations on the basis of Article 6, paragraph 1, point b) RGPD, such data will be systematically deleted afters expiry of the retention periods, insofar as they are no longer necessary for the performance of a contract or the initiation of a contract and/or there is no longer any justified interest on our part in continuing to store them.

When processing personal data for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) RGPD, such data shall be stored until the data subject exercises his/her right to object in accordance with Article 21(2) RGPD.

Unless otherwise specified in other information in this declaration on specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
