When Do You Need a VESA Adapter?

• Check the Back: Look at the back of your monitor. Is the surface smooth and devoid of four squarely arranged screw holes? Then a model-specific adapter is necessary.
• Recessed VESA Holes? Does your monitor actually have holes, but they lie deep in a recess so the mounting plate doesn't sit flush? Then you don't need an adapter, but a spacer / standoff set to bridge the gap.
• Wrong Hole Spacing: Do the holes (e.g., 75mm) not match the mount (e.g., 100mm)? In this case, a simple VESA extension / adapter plate will help.
